Terms of Service
Last updated: October 24, 2026
In short: Goblin is free, provided as-is, and run by one person. Use it within Discord's rules, don't abuse it, and understand that the service can change or stop at any time. The sections below are the full terms.
1. Acceptance
By inviting Goblin to a server, or by using any of its commands, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not invite the bot and remove it from any server you manage. These terms apply to server owners, server admins, and anyone who runs a command.
2. The service
Goblin is a multipurpose Discord bot operated by Garxu as an independent project. It is not run by a company, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc. The bot is free. There is no premium tier, no paywalled command, and no payment flow of any kind.
Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time, and the service may be interrupted or discontinued without notice. Saved data and game progress are provided on a best-effort basis, and the operator does not promise that any particular feature, command, or record will remain available.
3. Who may use Goblin
You must be allowed to use Discord under Discord's own terms, including its age requirements, to use Goblin. Server owners and admins who invite or configure the bot are responsible for how it is set up in their server, including which modules are enabled and which roles may use staff commands.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Goblin:
- To break Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, or any applicable law.
- To harass, threaten, or spam other users, or to flood channels or commands.
- To generate, share, or store illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- To probe, exploit, or attempt to disrupt the bot, its hosting, or its database.
- To misrepresent the bot as an official Discord product, or as run by a company when it is not.
If these rules are broken, the operator may warn, restrict, or block the offending user or server, or remove the bot from the server, at the operator's sole discretion and without prior notice. Decisions are made by the operator directly, since there is no moderation team or appeals board.
5. Your responsibility for content
You are responsible for what you do with the bot: the commands you run, the messages you configure it to send, and the content you generate through it. Text, images, and results produced by commands such as memes, image effects, jokes, and lookups are provided as generated or as returned by their third-party source, and the operator does not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for them.
6. Third-party content and services
Some commands return data from third-party sources, such as AniList, game APIs, and public web lookups. That content belongs to its respective owners and is subject to their terms. Goblin does not claim ownership of it, and availability or accuracy of any third-party source is outside the operator's control.
7. No warranty
Goblin is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The operator does not warrant that the bot will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any data will be preserved.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, Goblin. Because Goblin is free, the operator's total liability for any claim arising from the service will not exceed the amount you paid for the service, which is zero.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from claims, damages, and costs, including reasonable legal costs, arising from your violation of these terms or from content you generated, configured, or distributed through the bot.
10. Removal and termination
You may remove Goblin from your server at any time. The operator may suspend or end service to a user or server, or discontinue the bot entirely, at any time and for any reason, including breach of these terms. Ending service does not by itself delete stored data; removal requests are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date, and continued use of Goblin after an update means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you have a dispute, contact the operator first through the support server so it can be resolved informally before any formal action.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms go through the support server: https://discord.gg/bceyYDz5yB. There is no company mailing address or support email, because there is no company behind the bot.
