Goblin documentation
Everything a new server owner needs: invite the bot, accept the agreement, and set up welcome, starboard, and suggestions. Each module guide below carries its full command table, generated from the same registry as the commands page, so these docs never drift from the bot.
How to read usage
Use the sidebar to jump to a section. Start with getting started, then the fastest setup for the system you want, then the module guide for everything that system can do.
Getting started
Six steps from invite to a working server.
- 1
Invite Goblin
Pick your server and confirm the permissions. At minimum it needs permission to view channels, send messages, and embed links, or its cards will not show up.
- 2
Accept the agreement
The first time you use it, it asks you to accept its agreement. Accept it, then commands work. You can re-read it any time.
- 3
Open the command hub
That shows every module and command. Add a command name after it for that command's detail.
- 4
Switch features on and off
Server admins can turn whole modules on and off, or individual commands the same way.
- 5
Set your language
One command sets your personal language, another sets the server's language.
- 6
Add your own prefix
If your server uses a different prefix, admins can add one and list the ones set. The gob prefix keeps working either way.
First commands worth trying
Run these after the agreement to get a feel for the bot. Tap any command to see its exact usage.

Module guides
What each module does, how it works, and every command in it with its exact usage and description.
Core
12 commandsThe essentials. Help, invite, ping, botinfo, language and server language, prefix management, module and command toggles, rules, and shard status. Setup is just the getting-started steps at the top of this page.
How it works
- Goblin is prefix-first: only ping, invite, and 8ball have slash versions.
- Module and command toggles are admin-only.
- Help, language, and rules work in DMs. Server features need a server.
- Servers can add their own prefix. The gob prefix keeps working either way.
| Command | Usage | Description |
|---|---|---|
| gob botinfo | botinfo | My stat card — version, servers, commands, all of it. |
| gob command | command <enable|disable> <module> <command> | Switches one command on or off for this server. Admins only. |
| gob config | config [module] | Opens my full settings menu — prefixes, language, tips, modules, everything. |
| gob help | help [query] | Shows my command ledger — every trick I know, with details. |
| gob invite | invite | Gets my invite link — take me to your own server. |
| gob module | module <enable|disable> <module> | Switches a whole module on or off for this server. Admins only. |

| gob serverlang | serverlang <language> | Sets the server's default language. Admins only. |
| gob shardstatus | shardstatus | Show sharding status (owner only). |
Permissions: Toggling modules and commands is admin-only.
Why is there no slash version of most commands?
Goblin is prefix-first by design, and only ping, invite and 8ball have slash versions.

UNO
1 commandThe classic card game, played with the bot's own application emojis, never canvas images. Run gob uno, press Join, and the host presses Start. Hosts can add AI bot players at Easy, Medium, or Hard difficulty, so one human plus bots is a valid solo game. Rules are configurable: stacking, draw-to-match, plus-4 challenges, jump-ins, 7-0 swaps and rotations, elimination or points matches, turn timer, and player cap.
How it works
- The host presses Start. Hosts can add AI players at Easy, Medium, or Hard.
- Cards are the bot's own application emojis, never canvas images.
- Saved games restore after a restart. Games untouched for 24 hours expire.
- Rules are configurable: stacking, draw-to-match, plus-4 challenges, jump-ins, 7-0 swaps, elimination or points matches, turn timer, and player cap.
| Command | Usage | Description |
|---|---|---|
| gob uno | uno [subcommand] | Start an UNO lobby in this channel. |

Saved games restore, and games untouched for 24 hours expire silently.

Find any command
Every command also lives on the commands page, with search and aliases. The tables above are generated from the registry export of October 24, 2026.
337 commands across 17 modules, counted from the same registry data as the commands page.
Troubleshooting
The problems owners hit most, and what to check first.
Privacy and data, in plain words
What the bot stores
Per-server settings for each module you configure, such as welcome messages, starboard boards, counting state and streaks, suggestion posts and votes, notification feeds, birthday dates members chose to share, AFK reasons, log channel choices, pet records including Shinies and items, UNO stats and saved games, and game stats. It stores Discord IDs, not real names, and it stores server and channel IDs so features can find their way back.
What it never stores
Passwords, tokens, or message contents beyond what a feature directly needs. Counting reads numbers, quotethis reads the message you asked it to quote, and flashback reads a message you asked to resurface, but Goblin does not keep a general copy of your chat history.
Turning a module off
The feature stops working immediately. Deleting the saved data for a server is a separate step, so turning a module off does not by itself delete its data.
How to remove your server's data
Ask in the support server linked at the top of this page, and say which server and which module you mean, so the request goes to the right records. Members can also remove their own optional data by using the feature's own removal, like releasing a pet, opting out of the starboard, or clearing AFK.
